When you’ve got to go, you’ve got to go and there can be nothing more frustrating than not being able to find a bathroom when you need one. Luckily in Downtown Santa Monica there are several public restrooms, which are conveniently located in four of our parking structures, P1, P2, P3 and P4, where our Downtown Ambassadors directed nearly half a million people last year. Now that’s a lot of toilet paper.
Santa Monica Centric reader Elizabeth Brown dropped us a suggestion the other day, asking us to point out where the restrooms are after seeing so many people lined up in Starbucks ready to use the loo.
You don’t have to do that.
Download this handy bathroom map when you are in Downtown September 20th and 21st for the Third Street Promenade’s 25th Anniversary celebrations: Sonic Submarine and the Anniversary Block Party and Ice Cream Social, which features performances by the Santa Monica High School Marching Band, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary; St. Monica High School Pep Squad; and some of the promenade’s most talented buskers.
Restrooms are open every day from 8:30am to Midnight (12:00am).
As for parking, there’s plenty of it in DTSM. In addition to 10 public parking structures, there are private underground and surface parking lots, plus street parking. To save money you can also park at the Santa Monica Main Library located on Seventh Street at Santa Monica Boulevard. It’s only a short walk to Third Street Promenade and Ocean Avenue and the rates are lower.
