A few weeks ago, I wrote about Six:02 and their weekly fitness events. This past weekend, I was finally able to make a class. On September 12, I joined their weekly CIZE Live class that happens at 9 a.m. on Saturday’s during the month of September.
When I arrived at Six:02, I didn’t know what to expect. I was not that familiar with the CIZE dance workout by Shaun T whatsoever. From the website, it’s a sure way to get an unbelievable workout during a hip choreographed dance. About eight other girls joined me in a stretch before the class when bubbly Brianne came out to lead the pack. Her upbeat personality was exactly what I needed to wake me up.
We started the class with a brief warm up of jumps, lunges, and squats. The class consisted of learning a few ‘8 Count’ dance sequences and at the end of the class we put it all together for a sleek hip-hop routine. My coordination skills are on a level 3, so I was a bit nervous, but once the music started all I had to do is find the beat.
Within 5 minutes of the class starting, my heart rate was UP! The music was bumping and we were grooving! This serious sweat session had me drenched midway through the hour workout. The moves were fun and it was a blast trying to keep up. The dancing definitely challenged me to pay attention and remember all the moves I had learned.
I had so much fun during the class that I didn’t realize what a major workout I was getting. I woke up on Sunday with every muscle in my body sore. CIZE Live is absolutely fantastic. Thank you, Six:02 for introducing me to the great class. There are still two more Saturday classes available at the Santa Monica location.
