It’s always great finding new and exciting places to work out in Santa Monica. Plus, it’s always easier, at least for me, working out in a group versus alone. I mean, if I go to the gym alone, I last about 10 minutes, which is not much of a workout. When I heard about Six:02′s weekly fitness program, I thought I would head to the store and check out what’s coming up on the calendar.
In case you haven’t had a chance to visit Six:02, it’s a super sleek and stylish store on the Third Street Promenade. The store is filled with women’s athletic wear from Nike, ASICS, Puma, Adidas, and more. They have shoes, an assortment of activewear, fitness equipment and great fitness tips. Whether you run, dance, or participate in Cross Fit, Six:02 has you covered!
Six:02 hosts weekly events at their Santa Monica location. Some past events have included Mid-Week Charge Up, BoxNBurn, even teaming up with SoulCycle for a charity ride to help out the community. I happened to pop in last Wednesday for their Mid-Week Charge Up, which was a run to the Santa Monica Stairs. ASICS was a proud sponsor providing their Cumulus 17 style kicks for any participant while on the jog. Although I have yet to participate in a class, I am super eager to share their September CIZE Saturdays.
Every Saturday in September, Beach Body Live is joining Six:02 for a CIZE Live class at the store! CIZE Live is a dance class for experienced groovers and anyone who has ever wanted to learn to strut. World-famous choreographer and fitness trainer, Shaun T, will be leading the group. The kickoff class for CIZE Live is September 5 at 9 a.m. and will continue every Saturday during the month. There will be refreshments, special guest DJ, as well as raffles for gift cards and other great prizes!
To keep track of other great events coming to Six:02, check out their Santa Monica Website. If you are interested in participating for a class, definitely sign up online in advance or call the store at (310) 394-7275 for more details. I’m not the best dancer, nor do I have much rhythm, but I do hope to see you guys there on September 5 to shake and groove!
